A passenger coach going from Quetta to Peshawar fell into a deep ravine at Dana Sar on the border of Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in a horrific accident._x000D_
According to rescue sources, 40 passengers have died so far in the accident while 8 people have been injured. Women and children are also among the dead and injured._x000D_
As soon as the accident was reported, the Sherani district administration, rescue teams and ambulances immediately reached the scene, while rescue personnel from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa have also reached the spot to participate in the rescue operations._x000D_
According to Deputy Commissioner Sherani Hazrat Wali Kakar, the injured are being rescued and shifted to nearby hospitals, while rescue activities are still ongoing to remove and transfer the bodies of the deceased._x000D_

After the accident, an emergency has been imposed in hospitals in Sherani and Dera Ismail Khan so that immediate and better medical facilities can be provided to the injured._x000D_

Rescue 1122, Frontier Corps (FC), police, district administration and other relevant agencies are jointly participating in the rescue operation._x000D_

Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfaraz Bugti expressed deep sorrow and grief over the tragic accident and expressed grief and sorrow over the loss of precious human lives._x000D_

He said that as soon as the information about the accident was received, the provincial government issued instructions to the relevant agencies to immediately intensify rescue and relief operations.
