MWAP has honoured Prof. Dr. Muhammad Irfan Malik, Professor of Pulmonology, Critical Care & Sleep Medicine, as part of its project “Leaders Who Broke Hierarchies.”_x000D_
Prof. Dr. Irfan Malik has made significant contributions to respiratory medicine in Pakistan through the establishment of pulmonology services, promotion of Non-Invasive Ventilation (NIV), development of Sleep Labs, strengthening of critical care facilities, and his key role during the COVID-19 response._x000D_
His dedication to patient care, teaching, research, mentoring young doctors, and developing clinical guidelines has earned widespread recognition. MWAP highlighted that true leadership is defined not by position, but by integrity, responsibility, and the ability to inspire and empower others.
