Leaders of the All Government Employees Grand Alliance (AGEGA) Punjab, including Chairman Khalid Javed Sanghera, Yaseen Waraich, Prof. Faiza Rana and others, have said that government employees are facing severe financial hardships due to provincial government policies. They stated that cuts in leave encashment, pension and gratuity, along with outsourcing of public institutions, abolition of vacant posts, and the repeal of the Regularization Act, have created uncertainty and insecurity among employees._x000D_
The leaders demanded the grant of a 30 percent disparity allowance in line with the federal government, an increase in pensions, withdrawal of recent pension and leave encashment reforms, an end to outsourcing, regularization of contract employees, and the removal of disparities in salaries and allowances._x000D_
They warned that if these demands are not addressed in the provincial budget, government employees from across Punjab will hold a protest rally from Masjid-e-Shuhada to the Punjab Assembly on June 15 and stage a sit-in outside the Assembly building.
