Jamaat-e-Islami leaders reviewed preparations for the nationwide August 7 protest during an emergency meeting at Syed Maududi Islamic Centre. Acting Secretary General Nazir Janjua said the protest would represent people affected by inflation, rising fuel prices, high electricity bills, and economic hardship. Lahore Ameer Ziauddin Ansari Advocate said public mobilization has been intensified through door-to-door campaigns, corner meetings, rallies, and handbill distribution, expressing confidence that Lahore will become the focal point of the nationwide anti-inflation protest.
