The new glasses are still being developed in partnership with Essilor Luxottica, which owns several of the world’s most famous eyewear brands. In the past, smart glasses have been offered under the same brand names, including Ray-Ban and Oakley._x000D_
These models incorporated smart technology into a traditional design and were sold under the same brand names. However, this time the new glasses are marketed exclusively under Meta’s own name._x000D_

The new smart glasses are priced at $299 or £299, which is about $80 cheaper than the models made in collaboration with Ray-Ban._x000D_

Meta’s current era of smart glasses began in 2021, when it introduced Ray-Ban Stories. These glasses added cameras and speakers, turning ordinary sunglasses into a smart device._x000D_
