Reacting to Karachi being ranked among the world’s least livable cities, Pakistan’s leading actress and host Ayesha Omar has said that people living in this city actually deserve an honor or a medal. She said that the conditions in which the residents of Karachi live their daily lives are no less than a big test. This reaction came after the Global Liveability Index 2026 released by the British research institute The Economist Intelligence Unit (EIU), in which Karachi was ranked as the fourth worst city to live in the world. The actress paid tribute to the citizens of Karachi, saying that they travel on broken and polluted roads, face traffic jams for hours, endure constant shortages of gas and electricity, live in constant fear of crime and robbery, yet they work hard, pay taxes and play their full role in the country’s economy. According to her, living in such conditions is a great achievement in itself._x000D_

Ayesha Omar has also taken a strong stand on various social and public issues in the past. Recently, she was also part of a report on women by the international organization BBC, where she urged artificial intelligence and technology companies to take issues like harassment of women through online images seriously and take effective measures._x000D_

Along with acting, Ayesha Omar, who is also active in social services, is a goodwill ambassador for a non-profit organization that works to promote the education of underprivileged children in Pakistan.
