Oil marketing companies (OMCs) and refineries have alleged that the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) incorrectly calculated global premiums and average rates of Platts, which, according to the industry, resulted in an excessive (additional) reduction of about Rs 45 per litre in the price of high-speed diesel and Rs 11 per litre in the price of motor spirit (petrol)._x000D_

According to calculations shared by oil industry stakeholders, OGRA did not fully include the actual cost of premiums and the average rates of applicable Platts during the recent fortnightly review of prices.
