The University of Health Sciences (UHS) and the Punjab Healthcare Commission (PHC) have signed an MoU to jointly launch a six-month Certificate in Family Medicine (CFM) programme to enhance the clinical skills of general practitioners and strengthen primary healthcare across Punjab._x000D_
The agreement was signed by UHS Vice Chancellor Prof. Ahsan Waheed Rathore and PHC Chief Executive Officer Dr. Muhammad Saqib Aziz. The competency-based programme will offer supervised clinical training, evidence-based learning, emergency skills certification, and workplace-based assessments._x000D_
Speaking on the occasion, Prof. Rathore said the initiative would equip GPs with modern clinical competencies and improve healthcare outcomes, while Dr. Saqib Aziz termed the collaboration a major step towards ensuring quality, safe, and standardized primary healthcare services across the province.
