(Web Desk) – WhatsApp is reportedly working a new feature for Android users that could make sending voice messages faster and more convenient by allowing recordings to be made without opening the app._x000D_

The feature was spotted in WhatsApp beta for Android version 2.26.24.2 and is currently under development. It is not yet available for testing by beta users, according to reports._x000D_

The upcoming feature is expected to arrive in the form of a dedicated home screen widget. The widget would appear on Android devices in a compact 3×1 format and could be resized according to user preference._x000D_

The interface is expected to be simple, featuring a microphone icon alongside a “Tap to Record†prompt. Users would be able to start recording a voice message directly from the home screen by tapping the microphone icon, eliminating the need to first open WhatsApp._x000D_

Once the recording is complete, users would reportedly be given the option to select a contact and send the voice message through WhatsApp._x000D_

Another notable feature under development is believed to be support for sending the same voice note to multiple contacts simultaneously. Currently, users must forward a voice message separately to each recipient._x000D_

WhatsApp has not yet announced an official release date for the feature, and details could change before it becomes available to the public.
